Don't get me wrong, it's a great reward for otherwise thankless work (for the most part). My criticism is how Congress spends our money, not towards such a program.

I am more willing to give my tax money to a vetern, than someone who just keeps having kids that can't support them ,or someone who doesn't want to go to work because they feel they should be paid more money. Okay sorry about the soap box.
