Yes, TV is mostly geared toward entertaining white america, but from a business stand point it makes sence, since the majority (at the moment) is white. As things and populations have changed, so too has the programming.

Now I can not blame every white person for what's happened in the past. That would be stupid, you have to move forward in life to get ahead. You must get all your information from the television and probably never picked up a book in your entire life.

What if a person has native American ancestry but appears to be white?
As far as blame goes, it is hard to blame early American history on anyone in the generations starting from the baby boomers.

Well as a matter of fact, I am black (well 1/2) but I would be considered black by most. I agree 101% with you point about most Television is geared towards white America.. Believe me I feel your plight. But IMO B.E.T does very little to for the black community. The B.E.T Awards, spring bling, 106 & park and Rap city mostly reinforce negative stereotypes... I'm nothing like 90% of the people on B.E.T, but some how that’s how that’s suppose to be Entertainment for me... Hell, my five your old daughter is not even allowed to watch most music videos that B.E.T airs. I wouldn’t want her to think that those little girls portrayed in most of the videos are what black women are suppose to be. Since we (black people) control such a small percentage of the media market, I feel we should be more responsible about what we air/broadcast....

That was my point.

That rather sums up television in general. I really had to be careful on what I let my kids watch when they were younger. Television has spiraled downward to hell in a hurry.
