This is in Denver. I can't image Mayor Hickenblooper being so upset with this. Maybe because the singer didn't ask his permission.

"Artistic Expression". Ok then you won't get paid and hopefully never hired to sing anything again. Although when Obama is elected I am sure she won't have a problem finding work.

That was really arrogant of the singer. I would never imagine showing up to a concert and singing something I wasn't hired to sing. I don't think it was political, though. "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing" is commonly used alongside the national anthem in some county ceremonies I've been to. To replace the anthem all together without clearing the agenda first, that's just bad tact as a performer, not as an activist of some kind.

I will probably be shunned for this statement but I believe african americans are the most racist people on the planet, and yet caucasions are the ones who constantly get labled for it.

Gotta have their own Chamber of Commerce, Miss America, TV channel, college fund, etc.... At least they don't want to be segregated.
