Seems as if the newspapers print what they want and not the entire story. It also seems as if people believe whatever is printed or whatever story they seem to "hear". All information on this case is not presented in this thread. Big Shocker there huh ??

Another little tidbit: Seems the 12 year old didn't know the 16 year old attacker/rapist, but went over to his house with a "friend" who did know him.

Motive? Especially at that hour of the morning?

What time did this happen? I've heard a couple different times. I personally don't think there had to be a motive. Kids will just about go anywhere to hang out, if they are with someone they know.

Exact thought I had, but I wans't going to express it because the person saying something "bad" about the victim, even just as a possibility, gets reamed on here quite often...but here'goes...
What if friend of 16 y/o said "hey, I know this older guy and he is really nice and the perfect guy to take your v-card if you wanna try it"

or something of that nature.

obviously it doesn't get the 16 yo off for statutory, but it was just a thought that crossed my mind for how all of this could have gone down

The news stories don't really nail it down. What I understood was that it was during the "wee hours' of the morning, which could be anywheres from 12:00am to 3:00 or so?

I am not necessarily "damning" the victim, I'm just wondering, or posing a question as to why this 12 year old would be out and about at the house of this guy, whom she knew nothing about.

Maybe it's because I am from a different generation, however, my father, or my mom, would have kicked some butt, if my sister ever left the house to go visit another friend at the supposed time this event took place.

Furthermore, let's not even CONSIDER my sister going to the house of someone she did not know! She knew better that to do that.

Again, there must be more to this story than we've heard so far........
