I personally thought this was a good tribute.

I was out yesterday most of the day, so I didn't see much of the national news coverage. But last night I caught the repeat of Bill O'Reilly and Greta on Fox.

I am waiting for the Fox News Sunday show, which, of course, used to be his Sunday show on Fox. Flipping around the channels, am I right in right in my assessment that there is little to no coverage of Tony compared to the (deserved or not) wall to wall coverage of Tim Russert? (which Fox participated in, as well)

The Kos Kids

Tony Snow's Death - The Right's New Weapon

I guess in their opinion the LSM's coverage of Jesse Helm's death was fair and balanced. These folks are so dumb F'stool thought Helms was a nasty Republican his entire life forgetting Democrats (which Helms was at the time) opposed the Civil Rights Act.

The question comes to me more often than not - why is honesty punished while 'pretending' to be so is rewarded?

Pretty simple question that can be used in varous situations.

This time, we see the question manifest itself at the time of Tony Snow's death.

It is not suprising (sic) in the least that many conservative blogs have - and will continue to use - the occassion (sic) of his death to besmirch, smear, and do everything but deficate (sic) on anyone and everyone with opposing political viewpoints who don't stop what they are doing and say something positive about the man.

You see, this is where conservatives and everyone else differs.

In their minds, honesty is in the eye of the beholder, to heck with fact. Fact isn't honest if it doesn't fit your agenda.

The last sentence is a hoot! As if there are only two viewpoints in the world.

As an aside, I think some of these folks need to go back to school and learn to write again and try to learn something about debate and critical thinking.

(You listening F'stool?)

Well, that's just it. It IS typical. And really, it's sad that people are as depraved and vulgar as those posters and writers are.

As a brief aside: I saw Meet the Press Today. They gave Tony Snow 1 minute. Wow. FNC gave a lot more time to Tim Russert than that on their Fox News Sunday show. No matter - class tells.

I know this, too - and that is in total, around this country - "regular" mainstream American people are NOT like this. This kind of crap doesn't play a part in their everyday lives. And, they don't suffer the fools who participate in that kind of crap, either.

It's so sad. He was such an awesome person, and fought such a valiant battle. Prayers are going out to his family.
