Don't these kids know how to be kids? Sheesh!

Wait, what shoes? I don't remember wearing shoes in the woods, everything was done barefoot, even running through the corn fields, mucking horse stalls and walking over jagged rocks. what was I thinking.

It's okay. You are not alone. In fact, if there's absolutely nothing wrong with you then you are probably on the wrong planet. For the rest of us, let's celebrate this gift called flaw. It's what makes us interesting.

Hmmm... so they must not have found the girls yet... Sounds like Mom went looking for them and didn't wear the right shoes.

The helo just flew over my house. I hope that they find the girls. This day in age who would let thier 10 year old girls go into the woods alone looking for snakes?

We came home muddy, itchy, bitten and bloody and we called it fun.
When I was 10, my brother and I would be all over the place, in the woods, catching tadpoles, doing whatever...as long as we were home by the time the radio tower lights came on (country kid's equivalent of streetlights), nobody much worried about it.

Of course, these girls weren't dressed for an extended trek in the woods and they were probably expected back for lunch.

My friends and I disappeared for hours at a time into the woods. But that was back when you didn't have predators.

Looking at the map of the area, if it were me, I'd have headed thru the woods and made for the beach.
