Accident Rt.4 & Rt.5

No 911 call received. An officer happened upon the scene. No information yet.

2:04 Officer giving vehicle information. Advises no injuries.

2:04 Officer running tags on 2 trucks. No mention of this creating a traffic hazard. So the vehciels may be drivable. No mention of road lane closures. We are good there.

The south end of Rt 4 dead-ends at 5. Known as St. Andrews Church rd. from 235 to that point, but still Rt. 4 as far as I know.

Not cross, intersect. Just south of Leonardtown.

Correct. Rt.4 has many names between here and the White House.

I live on it in the Dunkirk area when I was a teen. Was Southern MD Blvd. then. At least that was our mailing address.

Seeing the reference to the intersection of Rt. 4 & Rt. 5 gets me every time! I just can't make my brain get used to thinking of it as anything except St. Andrews Church Road. Same for Mattawoman-Beantown Rd. It is actually now Rt. 5 according to the signs on the road. Can't seem to get around that one either.

I hear ya. For that accident Yesterday on Rt. 4 They called it Patuxent Beach Rd. I had never heard it called that. So here I am looking in my map book. I overlooked Rt. 4 a couple times trying to figure out where Patuxent Beach Rd and Oak Drive intersect. Then finally I saw where Rt.4 was Patuxent Beach Rd.

So lets see Rt. 4 is called what now depending on where you are at?
Pennsylvania Avenue.
Louis Goldstein Memorial Highway
St. Andrews Church Road
Patuxent Beach Road
Solomons Island Road
Used to be called Southern MD Blvd

What am I missing?

Oops I think I missed one. It appears it is Solomons Island Road then changes to Solomons Island Road SOUTH somewhere in Calvert.

And my mapbook still shows it as Southern MD Blvd up on the North end of Calvert.

Solomons Island Rd North and H B Trueman Rd. both turn into Solomons Island Rd South at the Marine Museum/Visitor Center intersection where they then become Solomons Island Road South down to the island !
