As a helicopter crewman I got two landings on the back end of the USS Missouri in the Persian Gulf. Those guns were huge! Amazing that the ship was around for Gulf War 1.

The BBs were/are amazing! I never got the chance to serve on one although I've visited the Missouri in Pearl Harbor. Sorry about the reference to the 53 hull number and the ensuing commentary. I just thought it strange they would paint a hull number on a decom'd ship. Did they really think the public would fall for the Battleship reference?
