Drug Dealers: Come In, We're Open!

A handmade wooden sign on Koon Court in Lugoff has neighbors talking, after a dispute between some residents has escalated.

Koon Court resident Bill McGee says someone trampled the garden found in his front yard.

That's when he says he made a sign out of posterboard and markers that says, "DRUG DEALERS," with a an arrow pointing to another resident's yard. He told News19 that a neighbor had something to do with the destruction of his garden, so McGee pointed the sign toward his neighbor's house.

McGee says the neighbor's drove over the smaller sign, so he made a new one that reads: "DRUG DEALERS, THIEVES & VANDALS."

Also, in the lower right hand corner, the words "Come In, We're Open" are printed.

Believe it or not, some neighbors say they like the sign and its message.

News19 first got word of the dispute when another neighbor photographed the sign, and emailed it to the Information Center.

Some residents like the sign, while others feel it's tasteless, because the sign could be pointing at a number of homes on the street.

Yeah, I love the idea. It should be used for all drug dealers and convicted child molesters. Actually, I could think of signs for many types of people that would be helpful to the neighborhood residents.

Yeah, but here in liberal-land, if you put up any kind of sign, someone is bound to be offended (it must be racist, because somebody's offended, right?), and that means prison time for you, the law-abiding citizen who's had enough crap from the criminally-minded.

They'll drag you through the permit process because you didn't obtain a construction permit or (get this) an occupancy permit if it's an electrified sign.
