They havent totally killed the Goose with the Golden egg but the goose is on the skids.

I expect a tax on candy bars or ice cream to be in the works soon.

Maybe they'll get smart and make MJ legal and tax that. Everyone will buy it and it will stop the petty charges and overcrowding at the jails.

I think they should tax the shiat out of soda. It causes obesity which is a huge medical problem, it provides no nutrition at all and more people drink soda than smoke. $2 tax on soda

What's annoying is that this is not a new tactic by the government. They decide what is 'sinful', and then tax the crap outta it, 'cause they feel they have the majority of folks agreeing with them. (Of course, the 'sinners' are a minority facing discrimination that nobody minds.) It's an old and failed policy that has never worked but these jokers never learn the lesson. That's the 'change' we keep getting, reverting to old and failed policies.

telling me that I HAVE to spend my money in maryland seems a bit of a violation of my rights.

I will spend MY money where I want and when I want. All the tax in this state gets pumped into Baltimore anyway, I dont do Baltimore so I really dont care if it has money or not.

I am glad to see the citizens revolting against the state government though, it was threatened when they did the tax theft, but the said it would not happen.
