I go to school in Utah (please don' ask, if it wasn't free I wouldn't be here!) and the one thing I looked forward to when I would go back home was the actual separation between church and state. Well I guess it's migrating to the east. I hope it doesn't get nearly as bad as it is here. Where you have to have a membership card for each bar you want to go to and state run liquor stores is the only place you can get cold 5% beer.

The problem in Maryland is that the state government at the present thinks it's a church, dictating which legal behaviors are 'sinful' or not. And then it discriminates against 'sinners'.

Why do you think they raised the toll on the Morgantown bridge.

The toll is $3.00 and the bridge is approx. a mile long ,it was built in 1938 and has been paid for all these many years. The Bay Bridge is 5 miles long and it only costs $2.50 cents. The added toll 0f $1.50 was added to make up for people going over and buying cigarettes and gasoline in Va.

They finally added enough tax to Md. cigarettes where it is still much cheaper to cross over than not to.

A new Bridge across the Potomac is needed badly, but it doesnt lead to the Eastern Shore or Baltimore, so I couldnt make a guess as to when one will be built. Probably not in my lifetime.

Probably not in any forumite's lifetime! But when it does get built, it will have every Charles County Commissioners' names on it!

True. It's beyond reversing. Damn near every fricken candidate that makes it to the ballot is more jacked up than the last one, there isn't enough social unrest for plan B, and both of those are because the majority of Americans have chosen to castrate themselves.

Yes, 2 pack limit after that a tax stamp from another state is considered unstamped. see Zi Qiang Chen v. State of Maryland if you want proof.
