House stuck by Lightening - Lexington Park

Fire Board dispatching Cameron Crt. / West Westbury Blvd. For the house fire. House struck by lightening. House reported to be filling up with smoke.

6:25 Units on the scene. 2 Story house. Owner standing in the doorway. Nothing evident from the outside. Units pulling the attic ladder to go in and check the attic.

6:28 Units advsing no smoke showing. Checking the attic

6:29 Units advise attic is clear. No smoke, fire or odor.

6:30 At this time there it no evidence of danage to the home, Units still investigating. Homeowner advises it was an obvious lightening strike.

6:31 A tree on the side of the house was apparently struck. A dog chain tied to the tree apparently carried to strike close to the house.

6:32 they are clearing most of the units to return to service.

Usually, the dark clouds and lightening are in front of my house. Today, it's all in the back, over the Park.

It's nice in Valley Lee

I'll take your house struck by lightening in Leonardtown and raise you, 2 houses and 1 person struck by lightening in Dunkirk. All okay, person was not injured (lucky) and houses were not damaged. Also, numerous trees down and on fire. Storms, yikes.
