As a WAVE I was taught and trained in firearms and excelled at it.
I have an "E" in both postol and rifle...and several other awards for firearms...

Woman see combat everyday in Iraq and have to defend themselves against attack and some have died IN COMBAT over there.

As far as having an "E" in pistol and Rifle... Doesn't mean you would pull the trigger to defend your country.. I absolutely appreciate your service to this country but many Objectors have served but it does not make them less cowardly..

And given a chance, I would kill to save a life..then and now!
Know how many Corpsman DIED in Nam..and how many got the MOH?
Know what weapon a medic was issued? A .45...why....to protect the patient!

And woman died in Nam too!!!!

The woman in Iraq are NOT in combat positions.

You know a lot about being a CO...is it because you were a real one?

So let me see, because you were a Navy Reserve (female) who were once called WAVES that automatically makes a Non-CO? How?? Please explain??

As far as woman not in "Combat Positions" if you are fired upon and have to return fire than you are, by definition, in a "Combat Position". Are you not?

27 Corpman have been issued the Medal of Honor. Some of the bravest people to ever wear a Navy Uniform.

What weapon were you issued to protect the patient??? Today they are issued a weapon to protect both themselves and their patients..

I was not issued one because I was not in a combat position because it was not allowed by Congress.!!!!

Nope not a woman... I have served all around the world on the sea and on shore duty and my knowledge of Woman in the Military is probably slightly above that of most members who have served in the service and more than most woman I served with in the service.

You still have not explained how being a WAVE ensures you are not a CO?? Many doctors and some Corpman have declared themselves CO. Why not you?

I thought there was a young lady issued the Silver Star in Iraq for saving the lives of five of her platoon members. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think that qualifies as combat, even if unintentional.
