California Store To Accept Pesos
Circle K stores accepting pesos | Bakersfield Now | News


A local convenience store is accepting currency from across the border.

Circle K Stores Inc. is accepting Mexican pesos. The chain has been accepting pesos at locations in Arizona for decades, Texas and New Mexico for about a year, and now Circle K officials are testing the service at stores in California.

I was in Nova Scotia a few years back and they were more than happy to take US currency. Some establishments anyway. They could sit on it a few days and actually make a profit as the exchange rate fluctuates.

I never thought that the US gov would allow this crap.

If we were not dealing with the illegal immigration problem I would agree. I just think we seem to go out of our way to promote it as opposed to minimizing it.
