Oh and cooperate America rewards me well for it. For those looking for a new beginning in life, you'd be amazed at what a great opportunity the military can be for a new service member and their families. Not to mention I have friends for life all over this world; something you'll never achieve with a career at Target!!!

And yeah death is a possibility, but I wasn't forced to enlist, it was a personal choice!!!

Good on ya - you've done well. If other kids can do the same, I've got zero problem with that.

But I think we also need to address the reason why the military has found it necessary to adjust their standards for recruits: it's because of the incredible hardships that members of our armed forces (that includes families) have had to endure these last 5 years running - which makes choosing a career in the military less and less appealing.
