| Actually, the correct translation of the Hebrew-Aramaic is not kill but murder. So the commandment is "You shall not murder." That distinction made, Paul Hill is guilty of murder, so he gets society's punishment. It has been held by the "liberals", "left", "bleeding hearts", or whomever that capital punishment is not a deterrent. Well, he won't do it again. He is deterred. And the violent crime figures show that violent crime has dropped since capital punishment executions have started again, so it must be deterring others as well. And, capital punishment is not anti-Biblical either.
