Your thoughts on Paul Hill execution?

Abortion doctor's killer welcomes execution

Paul Hill was a Presbyterian minister who fired three rounds at Dr. John Britton, his wife, the doctor's bodyguard, and another escort as the four arrived at their clinic in Pensacola. After firing, Hill ran to an oak tree for cover and looked at his victims. He saw that the doctor was still moving, so he reloaded and fired five more times. (This taken from my memory--I heard an interview with Hill, on the radio on the way to work this morning, in which he recounted in those details the murders.) The doctor and his bodyguard were killed; the doctor's wife & the other escort were injured.

Any thoughts, anyone, about the murders? About Hill's theory of "justifiable homicide"--which is the rationale he uses for killing the two men? About capital punishment?

Well good. Let us know how that works out for you, buddy.

Psst...Bertha....you know, if you wanted to stir it up, you could use this guy as an example of Christians everywhere instead of just a nutty. Food for thought.....

Just another cold-blooded nutjob if ya ask me. I'm not a fan of abortion, but I don't understand how this idiot thinks what he did, is right.

There's a bet I wouldn't take.

Even IF killing the doctor could be justified (personally I agree w/ ty's mom, who said "thou shall not kill" didn't apply to him?), How does he justify killing the body guard? And if God wanted him to kill, the first shot would've done it.

Well, of course I could, but it wouldn't be sporting.

BTW I was going to post a poll and I forgot to check the "poll" box.

Actually, the correct translation of the Hebrew-Aramaic is not kill but murder. So the commandment is "You shall not murder." That distinction made, Paul Hill is guilty of murder, so he gets society's punishment.

It has been held by the "liberals", "left", "bleeding hearts", or whomever that capital punishment is not a deterrent. Well, he won't do it again. He is deterred. And the violent crime figures show that violent crime has dropped since capital punishment executions have started again, so it must be deterring others as well.

And, capital punishment is not anti-Biblical either.
