Not to worry, the Librarians are on it and have not substantiated it.

Not to worry, the Librarians are on it and have not substantiated the claim that Palin wanted to ban books.

Time magazine reports on Sarah Palin’s tenure as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska:

Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. “She asked the library how she could go about banning books,” he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. “The librarian was aghast.” The librarian, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn’t be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire her for not giving “full support” to the mayor.

Nor are the right wing blogs. As long as we can agree on that, we'll know there are no double standards going on here.

I think Palin is a breath of fresh air on the national scene and I know a lot of people can handle that so there'll be a lot of stuff said, mostly sories but some might be true. As far as this library thing, it should be to difficult to go through records to see when and why the librarian was fired. Was the librarian fired for not banning books or for poor performance?

While I dont agree with censorship, there are times that certain books must be removed.
there are even times when looney left are the ones doing the removing.

Tom Sawyer comes to mind for some reason.

oh, I know, there was ONE WORD in the book that was considered offensive.
So, as long as someone finds offense, it should be ok to ban. based on the previous actions of the left.

The librarian was fired, then re hired, then she left her job.
