I applaud Cindy McCain. I'd have been hard-pressed to even come up with her name prior to Johnny Mac winning the nomination. She was eventually caught stealing drugs from the charity she had established to distribute medicines to developing countries. After sacking the whistleblower who had revealed her actions, she disbanded the group. Then she told her husband about her addiction and checked herself into a clinic.

I agree, and it makes me sad to see the values of this country reduced as they have been.

when did it become a bad thing in this country to excel in life? At what point, what year did it become a bad thing to realize your dreams and actually become self supporting.

the very things that made this country competitive and the best country in the world have been reduced to ridicule. One time, people came here because they knew that with hard work, they could be anything, earn whatever they wanted, the mom and pop store could grow into a major company that employed hundreds or thousands of people, and the owner would be given respect.
Now? its, go to America, they will pay for everything for you.

obama wants to increase the pay everything for you, not only in this country, but in other countries also. All at the expense of those people that had a dream, worked to realize that dream and became wealthy.

I dont think his change is what the American people really want, if they did, they would have moved to Europe years ago.

Yes, it is so sad to see so many government handouts go to wealthy victims of their own greed...

compare that to the chump change the government hands out to the poor so they can eat something.

i think addressing the fact that she, and therefore they are exceedingly rich is valid. But i dont see where her being an addict has anything to do with McCain's ability to lead. Its not like the first lady has any real power. she usually gets some sort of pet program going (maybe hers can be the opposite of nancy regan's ) but its not like she is going to have her finger on the button. Besides, GWB admitted using drugs and being an alcoholic, and he was elected twice. And i dont think his past drug use had anything to do with any of his failures or sucesses as president.
