Well said.

Add to that the admissions (brags, really) of Barry's drug use, and you've got quite a conundrum - vote for the guy who was stupid enough to use them himself and brag about it, or the guy whose wife used too many prescription drugs after a surgery and got off of them too late?

Tough choice. Well stated.

I would offer up elvis and Anna Nicole to counter your assertion that people addicted to perscriptions are less "druggie" than peopl who use illegal drugs.

BTW, it is widely known that bush used various drugs and is a reformed alcoholic.
Bush's alledged drug use was certainly known to the left....although I know of no evidence supporting the claim. And as far as the alcohol is concerned so what. I was not the one making the allegation.... DUH it was Fartstool.

IMHO people who are prescribed medication (usually pain) and become addicted (which is common) are not as druggie as people who sell and deal on the street. The paths may come in contact when the perscription addiction is no longer filled and they seek some sort of substitute.

Your right..the guy/girl lying in bed with a serious injury requiring pain med is the equivalant of the local crack user on the street....Are you for real??

the addiction is the same or even worse many times for the percription users.

the guy or the girl in the hospital no, but the person who takes that addiction and carries it with them in secret for years, yes, they are addicted exactly the same

I'd rather see my taxes spent on procuring equipments from American companies than given to big corporations like Midland-Daniels so they can turn food into crappy fuel.

Addicition is the same, but I doubt Cindy McCain was pulling tricks or knocking over liquor stores to support her habit like the local crack ho does.

For one, one became addicted under a doctor's care for an illness or an ailment.. the other became addicted because it was a cool thing to do.

well i dont know if being cool is what drives one to become a crack ho....

the rumors are that cindy did the typical pill junkie stuff to get her fix, lie cheat and steal. i dont know if its true, but that is what you expct from addicts, even highclass rich ones addicted to perscriptions.

i am sure that people have millions of reasons they start using hard drugs.
block shiat out, experiment, peer pressure, believeing that you have been lied to about the implications (say after trying weed and seeing it didn't end life as you know it), not believeing that the "rules" rules of additiion aplly to you, self destructive personality.......
