E-mails explain 'Troopergate' firing

Lawyers for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin have released e-mails detailing what they say is the real reason she dismissed Walt Monegan, the public safety commissioner whose firing prompted the "Troopergate" controversy.

They also cited an e-mail Monegan sent his colleagues encouraging them to communicate better with Palin.

I was hoping the article would've included transcripts of the emails in question.

Especially if the emails show that policy differences were the reason for Palin's firing of the Public Safety Commissioner.

In all reality, the Public Safety Commissioner serves at the pleasure of the governor. She could have fired him for excessively long nose hairs.

**You mean like the US Attorneys (was it 9) Bush 'fired'?

Yeah and Clinton also fired people who's conduct was better than his... That is of course until he got his hand caught in the Monica jar!!!

I wonder if I can find a job where I can serve for her pleasure..
