So is Vincent Bugliosi. I saw him on book TV one time. He's got a lot more credibility than some nutjob lib from Vermont.

The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder

Bugliosi, for those of you who don't know, is former Los Angeles county assistant DA, whose most high profile case was the Charles Manson murder case in which he managed to successfully prosecute Manson for the Tate-La Bianca murders, even though Manson himself was not present at one murder scene, and was outside the house at the other scene (if memory serves me correctly). In other words, even though he personally did not pull the trigger (or wield the knife), he was convicted of murder and sentenced to death - before the bleeding heart libs got the death penalty in CA overturned. Some people just need killing; Charlie Manson and members of his "family" are some of those people.

Bugliosi is not the kind of man who would make any kind of case and move forward with it unless he was certain he had enough evidence to convict. Whether he does or not, even whether he's allowed to or not, will be interesting to watch.

Sorrell, who is seeking a sixth term, said he doesn't believe a Vermont attorney general would have the authority to charge Bush.

"The reality is, in my view, that unless the crime takes place in Vermont, then I as the attorney general have no authority under Vermont law to be prosecuting the president," Sorrell said.
