Russia defies West over nuclear Iran - Times Online

RUSSIA will resist western pressure for tougher United Nations sanctions against Iran over its nuclear programme, it said yesterday.

The announcement came after the Kremlin agreed to sell advanced antiaircraft systems to the Iranians, bringing condemnation from the US and adding to tensions over the Russian invasion of Georgia.

This emphasizes what we need in our next President.

Do we need someone who will cut our military and wait for the UN to take action?

Or do we need someone who will strengthen our military and be ready to take the action that is guarnteed to be needed?

I suppose Russia doesnt realise that Iran doesnt like them much better than they like us, and they are much closer.
