I got stopped by a State Trooper in Altoona on my way home from Ft Meade..

It was about 2 AM.. "That's GOD's country up there!!" and he let me go!

First person I met from up that way was when I was in college. Tom asked me to gus war he wuz frum. And I said, "Alabama?" He had to show me a birth certificate before I'd believe him.

I think it has to do with the crab situation. They have a lot of Number 1 males up there.

Latest on this is that the gun used was one of 6 purchased legally less than a week ago in South Carolina. ATF is investigating it at a Federal level for another possible straw purchase.

The dude fired repeatedly while standing over the officer as he laid on the ground. Had a long history of violence. Recently release from prison. Had some sort of engagement with officers 5 days ago and at some point suuposedly swore to kill any officer that tried to arrest him.

The officer killed was only a highway patrolman and had no idea who/what he was pursuing when he attempted to pull him over for a traffic violation.

Very sad story.
