Thug rule brooks no dissent

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors,” Barack Obama told a crowd in Elko, Nev. “I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.” Actually, Obama supporters are doing a lot more than getting into people’s faces. They seem determined to shut people up.

That’s what Obama supporters, alerted by campaign emails, did when conservative Stanley Kurtz appeared on Milt Rosenberg’s WGN radio program in Chicago. Kurtz had been researching Obama's relationship with unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers in Chicago Annenberg Challenge papers in the Richard J. Daley Library in Chicago — papers that were closed off to him for some days, apparently at the behest of Obama supporters.

Thuggish crowds led by a thug. To hell with the First Amendment (and in Obama's eyes, the Second).

I don't have any warm, fuzzy feelings - if Hussein Obama makes it to the Oval Office. Better wake up folks!

Interesting perspective that the press have foisted upon the public regarding the mob mentality of the Palin supporters. Many columns written this weekend about the bias.

There are nuts on both sides.

We've heard Obama tell his supporters to 'get in their faces'. I haven't heard McCain, Palin or OBiden tell their supporters to get that violent. I could be wrong about that fact, however.

You're not wrong.

Obama said this a while ago, but it's still his sentiment - if you can't convince 'em, coerce 'em. It worked for him before, he thinks it will work again. And, he just might be (W)right.

good point. There are I think a few different ways to take 'in their face' and I think in the context of what he was saying he was going for more directly arguing points then say in your face yelling or something.

That was my take on it though.

You're right that McCain and palin haven't told their supporters to get violent (that I know of), but painting him as a terrorist associate (falsely) certainly adds fuel.

Actually, Obama doesn't have associations with terrorists and socialists as much as he has 'alliances'. Bringing out facts about a candidate isn't adding fuel to a fire when it's truthful.
