made, and lived and helped.
they all inidcate past tense.

currently, at substantially over 70k, I am not living that grand life that 45k brought people as recently as the 80s.

Well its past tense because he died a few years ago and I am out of college now. It really wasn't that long ago. He was just responsible with what we had.

mortgage on my first house in virginia beach was 650 a month.
it was a 3500 sq ft on the water.. well, not on the water actually, I would have drowned.

now that same house would cost you at least 4k a month in a payment.

housing prices went up far greater than income.
the cost of the mortgage dipped into money that might have been available to do other things, like, send the kid to college.

so, if your dad had a mortgage from the 70s or early 80s, chances are his payments were a lot less percentage of his take home than someone making 80 today and buying that same exact home in the last 5 years.

its not responsibility all the time, sometime it does have to do with inflation out growing income.

A young adult, right out of college can get a job starting at $42k a year as a teacher in Charles County (minus your mandatory Union dues).

A young couple who both teach are now 'RICH' according to Obama's 2003 statement. And they would be 'selfish' for not wanting the government to dispense largess from their tax dollars under the guise of 'compassion'. As if folks can't make that decision for themselves.

EEERRRRRRRRR!!!!
I hate how no one takes into consideration the COST OF LIVING!!!!!
Yeah living in one area where the median monthly house payment is $500 that amount might be comfortable. But that is NOT the case here.
Hubby and I moved in in 2005 and we have a modest home with almost triple the mortgage.
Those two salaries mean very different things depending on where you live.

Yeah my parents sent three kids to college on a similar salary considering they bought their home 25 years ago when housing prices were not ridciously insane.

Can't you tell I really hate when people do not account for cost of living when they determine what is 'rich'?

I have a feeling it'll be changed...but that'll be based on affordability. After he gets his other changes approved, he won't be able to pass tax cuts to 200k and lower if there isn't enough money to run that big government. So while the tax cuts sound nice, I doubt 200k will be the final number unless he cuts some of his other plans or pulls money out of something else...
However, he is changing his language. Earlier it was "You will get a tax cut if you make less than $250K." Now he's saying "You won't get a tax increase if you make less than $250K." So it would be intentional stupidity to believe anything he says now or has said in the past about his economic plans or philosophy.

The idiots want this to not be the ultimately historic election.
