Never said that. What I am saying is the house I bought here for $260k I could buy in several other areas for less than $150k. Not every area was full of people stupid enough pay house prices double of what they were just 4 years earlier.

I can buy a 4000sq ft victorian in good condition on an acre in the town I grew up in for $200k, in the 80's it was probably about $125k not all that much difference there for 20 years.

I also disagree that middle class ends at 70k.
