Also keep in mind that California has a civil union status, so all of the other so called advantages of a marriage license are already available for a homosexual union, just under a different name (based on being a different category of union). This is the whole separate but equal thing--already determined illegal during the civil rights movement
And the whole animal thing is a different argument as animals cannot consent. We are dealing with consenting human adults.

None of that makes it right. We are NOT a democracy. We are a constitutional representative republic.

it is silly and a violation of the constitution to give a tinkers damn what two adults do in terms of a legal contract that has nothing to do with anyone else.

If we're smart, and we're not, we'd be working for agreement that marriage is between two consenting adults.

Never let the pursuit of the perfect become the enemy of the good.

13 was considered adult a couple hundred years or so ago.

besides, 18 is just a made up number by society, what is the legal basis for
The constitution says all men are created equal, The way I see it, we are taking the constitutional rights from people that are under the age of 18.

It would be best to just drop all age requirements for everything.

...that's funny. I was thinking it would be best to raise them.

30 to vote sounds about right to me.

although after the recent election I tend to agree with that based in the idiocy of the young,,, it is still unconstitutional to limit civil activities based on age.
think of it this way. the real damage from an administration comes after that administration leaves, that means that the people that will be feeling the full impact of the obama presidency are from 10 to 14 years of age right now. They should have a say in how they want the country to be structured the day they get out of school.

...age limits pass constitutional muster because they are inclusive and do not distinguish one 18 year old from another for any reason; Equal protection.
