Officials say as many as 1 billion of the nuisance calls have been made to Americans.
I'll bet just the people combined on this forum have had that many calls....

I heard that they were not really a legitimate car warranty company but I don't care if they were legit. I'm on the do not call list and they should have honored it. Now I hope they get what's coming because I've received at least 10 calls from them in the last 3 months.
The majority of them come from New Brunswick (506) area code???
I actually started pushing 1 to tell them their days of calling are numbered. They just hung up on me though...
Also, the push 2 to be removed from their calling list doesn't work. This was talked about on news 4 last night.

Got tired of wrong numbers and donation requests a long time ago. I now only plug my phone in maybe once a week and that's only for an outgoing call. All my friends know to use email if they want to contact me. Problem solved!

Now if they could just stop these phony calls from outfits claiming to be police officers it would be nice.

I always press '1' to talk to an agent. When he comes on, I ask him to wait just a second and put the phone down next to the T.V. speaker. I then go about my own business for about five minutes then hang up. Remember, these guys work in a boiler room and the company gets paid by the number of successful pitches they can make. If I tie one up for five to ten minutes three or four times a month, that takes him out of the profit-loop.
