| I don't understand why if she is hated so much they are giving her so much publicity. But I will tell you this much, as a woman, I really didn't give a crap either way about Palin. Now, with all the extreme attacks and hate that is spewed at her and her innocent family (no sexual jokes), as a woman, I'm getting ticked off. So now if Palin wants my money or me to write letters, or whatever else, I'll support her, just out of spite.

What has she done that is so horrible that they try to destroy her and her family? She accepted a plea from John McCain to help him in his campaign for the Presidency. That's it. Thats it in a nutshell. She is a capable Governor of the state of Alaska, she is married to a decent man, and has raised a family. She was pregnant with a Downes Syndrome baby and decided to have that child. SHE HOLDS CONSERVATIVE VIEWS. For that she is hounded persecuted has spent thousands of dollars of her personal money to defend herself against scurrylous charges, and she is a beautiful woman. I believe NOW holds that against her. To me she is what women should be. A wife, a mother ,a success in the mans world of politics. But women like Hillary more. A shrew, who allows her husband to walk all over her by screwing anything that will lower themself to service him. They like Helen Thomas, an ugly left leaning old hag. Jane Fonda , a traitor. Katie Couric, a cutesy mindless reader of the news. The list goes on, the bottom of that list are the women of "The View." Skanks of the lowest order. I would be honored to know Sarah Palin, I cant say the same for Joy Behar.

| My point is, I'm a woman with mostly conservative leanings. Palin impressed me for all of two minutes, but not all that much. She's not important to me and doesn't register in my thoughts. I'm saying this as a woman who has better things to do than be concerned over what Paris is wearing at the club if you get my drift. However, all this negative hateful media attention on this woman and her family has made me pro-Palin. Well to a degree. But it's mostly out of shock that the media thinks that they can treat her like this just because she's a woman. She's not even running for office right now. Therefore, the woman in me, is riled up, and I'm rallying around the Palin camp. If the media outlets continue, more and more woman will do that. Regardless of their political leanings. This will backfire on whatever camp is out there trying to destroy her if they keep it up. Woman can get a little po'ed about this kind of stuff. There's a phrase "Bros before hoes" that I think most are familiar with. Well the opposite is true as well "chicks before #icks."

![]() She's not hated because she holds conservative values. That's silly. She may not be liked by liberals for that, but Hillary isn't liked by Conservatives for her liberal values. What's your point? There are plenty of reasons why women didn't like Palin. I dont know who Helen Thomas is, but I fail to see why women should like Palin more than an "ugly left leaning hag", if that's the only negative description you can provide. The others you list off are celebrities. So what? Movie/TV celebs are naturally endeared by women more than politicians. There were alot of reasons why people didn't like Palin and NONE of them had to do with the points you mentioned. Stop reading Fox news and try other sources that actually explained why they didn't like her and her politics. ![]()

| What would those reasons be?

It's not like people think she, not Tina Fey, said she could see Russia from her bedroom. It might have been because she had experience actually running a government or she had actually negotiated a treaty with a foreign country prior to the election. I think the real reason is she didn't kill an inconvient child and didn't need poll results to decide what's right.

I never thought of those as liberal values. Until you suggested it. Palin did NOTHING to deserve this venom except for expressing and living conservative values. She is attacked for not having the approved values. Hillary was attacked for being a mean, nasty and dishonest opportunist; her actions.

| I don't see how Hillary and Sarah were THAT different. To say that women envy Hillary alot more because she allowed her husband to mess around on her is ridiculous. She's done a good job with the issues and handled herself well politically (in the Dem arena), so there are many who like her for that. Women often envy someone like Palin, but a ton of them didn't this past election. Why? Her politics. I know it's a tough concept for conservatives to understand, but when people don't like your politics when you're running for office, they're not gonna vote for you! ![]() When Palin was nominated, some people in her party referred to her as a "rock star" and she really did take up that role in the GOP. To "take her down" Dems needed to go after every fault they could find, and they did a pretty damn good job of it. There are plenty of politicians better than her, yet she was nominated for VP and was a front-runner for the 2012 nomination. People are doing their best to make sure that doesn't happen, because she just doesn't deserve it. I know all the conservatives are now gonna argue that she's friggin incredible and you want to have her love children and she's your idol. Whatever. You asked why people didn't like her and I answered. Even if you disagree with everything, it's still why people don't like her...even if you have a woody for her. |
