Yes. If every politician who was the target of complaints and accusations decided to resign, there would be nobody left in any office.

We're not communicating, here.

We agree it's bad governance for a pol to be running for another office while serving, yes?

If you take Palin at her word, per her speech, that's what she's primarily doing, right, not abusing the office?

If nothing else, I would think the 'compassionate conservative' scam was Rove's idea.

So, moving forward, how much of the problem was he and how much good did he do?

No argument about Rove's part in the Bush administration. I was only mentioning that Rove didn't seem to be criticizing Palin, just that he was definitely confused about her decision to do what she did.

Which I think is good! She's shaking things up and everyone is still talking about it 3 days after she made her announcement!

And I'm sure they fear her because she makes them look bad - like the weasels they are. And I'm talking about both Democrats AND Republicans. John McCain can pretend all he wants that Palin cost him the election, but the fact is that he'd have had an even bigger ass whoopin' if it weren't for her.

As they say, when what you're doing isn't working, try something else. I'd just like to know more about Rove's story, what was his idea, what wasn't.

If it gets to the point where they can't govern, that's entirely different than merely being complained about and (in this case, wrongly) accused of things.

Clinton never learned that. Nor have most others. Palin, apparently, has.

In her speach, she talked about being targeted and helping Alaska by taking a different direction. If she if stepping down in order to fully focus on the 2012 election, then I agree with what she' doing.

You're right on that. I just thought she would've finished out her term. Even then she'd still have two years to devote to the 2012 campaign.
