OK, so, now, she writes books, give speeches, travels, gets out of Alaska, gets her kids away from some of the spotlight and enjoys her family for the next couple years instead of endless frivolous ethics complaints, rape joke about her kids and so forth. She has a strong record in Alaska governance in case anyone actually cares what she has accomplished.

Again, the 'proper' approved way of doing this has given us Clinton, W and now Obama. It ain't working.

Maybe she honestly is done with being crucified in the media and having her children subjected to all the ugly remarks and rumors? Certainly fighting all those bogus lawsuits is time-consuming, and takes away from her job as governor.

I mean, the Left has been trying to force her out for almost a year now, so you'd think they'd be thrilled at this victory. But no - now they want to ##### about her quitting.

If anything, she gets a point for being upfront about it and stepping aside so someone else can RUN Alaska instead of just using the office to do something else.

IMHO, the bolded part is the reason to quit. She couldn't effectively do her job because she was in it, and was subjected to so many frivolous claims/lawsuits/etc that it distracted her from the job.

It's a responsible, patriotic, selfless thing to do. Again, just my opinion.
