Valid or not, they're disrupting her ability to govern. That's bad for the state. If it were about HER, she would continue. Since she seems to think a government official's job is to place their position above themselves, it wouldn't matter if she'd done anything wrong or not. She can no longer be a full time governor because of the coordinated efforts against her personally.

So, she's doing the right thing for her state, not for her.
