Pelosi and Hoyer, Joined at the hip

USA Today pushes socialism, Pelosi spin | gopnation

What a nice spin these two liars place on the Heath care proposal. Makes it sound truly great. Until you realise they left out the bad parts .

Where is the Hoyer town hall? Steny says

"In the meantime, as members of Congress spend time at home during August, they are talking with their constituents about reform. The dialogue between elected representatives and constituents is at the heart of our democracy and plays an integral role in assuring that the legislation we write reflects the genuine needs and concerns of the people we represent."

Says that right there in the article. Anybody know where Steny is doing this talking? Does anyone really believe Steny gives a red rats azz about haring the genuine needs and concerns of the people he represents?

Hasn't Steny already said he will vote for what he thinks is best and the hell with what we think?

He did it with stimulus. Have no reason to believe he won't do it with Obamacare as well. But, if you live in Maryland, you've automatically given up your voting rights to the Dems.

Pelosi, Hoyer call disruptions 'un-American' - Los Angeles Times

Does anyone else get angered when their representative refuses to listen to them, and then has the gall to accuse us of being part of some deep, anti-American plot to kill health care?
Who is Steny trying to convince,? I know I am an individual that is against his death bill, I am not a part of a campaign and Steny Hoyer knows it to. Hell's Bell's we cant even get a Republican politician with guts enough to come out and oppose it, much less lead a campaign.

I do not like being called UnAmerican because I dont like The Democrat health care plan and Hoyer should be ashamed of himself for saying it. I will send him a message in 2010 and I hope others will too.

You forgot the racism accusations. I think it is despicable and pathetic that they are using all these diversionary thug tactics, refusing to listen to opposing viewpoints, and now even calling those who speak out "un-American".

Like they have a damn clue what it means to be an American.

Protesting something that the MAJORITY of Americans don't want is only "un-American" when a Republican is doing the protesting. When Dems do it, they are deified. You know the Dems are running scared when they resort to name-calling because they have nothing else. You can't defend the indefensible.

NOT really sure where all of you are getting the "un-American" part.

It's one thing a protest and have an opinion, BUT it's another thing to call THE President of the United States of American a racist, a fascist, compare him to Hilter; also joke that Dems "Almost Got Lynched" at town hall meetings, actually have a puppet of a US Congersman lynched, scream, yell, and carry-on at town hall meetings.

Nah that's not "un-American" that's just ignorant!

When the grass is cut, the snakes will show.

It helps to read the linked article:
Quote:
These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades.

BTW, that sounds an awful lot like the eight years that Bush was President...
