Speed cameras heading toward Md. highways - wtop.com

Hate speed cameras now? Wait until they are turned on along highway work zones in a week.

Under a new law, speed cameras are allowed to be set up in highway work zones starting Oct. 1 in Maryland.

they will be set at 12 mph or more before registering a ticket.

Seriously, if you cant slow down in a work zone there is something seriously wrong with you.

now that being said, I wonder how often it will be checked for accuracy so you dont end up getting a ticket for 12 over when you were really goin 5 under.

that Is my only reservation to speed cameras.

A work zone, 7am on a Sunday, no one around, no workers, no cars?

...so as long as I only drive 12 mph or slower thru the work zone I will be OK? Just wanted to know so folks won't honk at me while I traverse the WZ at such low speeds.
