His statement is absurd.

There are far too many black conservatives and Republicans that enjoy near universal approval on the right in order for Carter's statement to be anything more than the continuation of the race care game to be pulled out when you are losing the issue game.

Carter's statement would have been accurate had he said the far right opposes Obama on ideological grounds.

If we wanna talk race and Obama, let's talk about all the Dems who did not and do not support him because of his race. Anyone remember Pennsylvania? Ed Rendell? No?

I hope that is true, and that would make his comments ten times more meaningful.

That is the way of dealing with wrongful guilt and it is called repentance.

I would say that Carter's statements were correct in the way he himself worded it as he tries to explain it in the video of the first post of this thread, BUT but Carter was way out of line.

And President Obama did not support nor agree with that Carter position and Carter was just way out of line.

So even if as you say Carter's opinions were inaccurate then I still figure Carter was honest even if it might have been inaccurate or not.

He might have meant well but it did not come out well.

:fixed:

Carter was a joke as Prez and an even bigger joke now.

He pretends not to be a racist to cover the fact he's one of the most anti-semitic bigots in history.

PS: Carter is going to hell for giving away the Panama Canal.

Just because a person has repentance doesn't mean he/they deserve forgiveness!!!

You are completely correct, how can people who supported George Bush condemn Barak Obama when the two are so similar. I mean Bush and Obama are so similar in their policies that they even look alike (big ears etc).
