I never thought to do this...

The 911 on video game obsession - BostonHerald.com

Quote:
It’s game over for a 14-year-old Roxbury boy, whose overwhelmed mother was so exasperated with his incessant video game playing that she called the cops on him.

The final straw for Angela Mejia snapped at 2:30 a.m. Saturday when, “I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the light on in his bedroom,” hours after she had told him to go to sleep.
Geez, all I ever did with my son is yell at him and make him turn the light off and go to bed. Of course, he didn't have TV in his bedroom, let alone video games....

I'd say let him stay up and burn himself out. He would learn a lesson quick when he had to get back up and go to school on an hour of sleep.

My 10yr old step-son is on his laptop as soon as he gets home from school until bedtime playing an internet game. He just zones out to it.

I'm newly married so I don't want to make waves yet... but he needs to do other things than that. Like cut the grass, shovel snow, clean his room and bathroom.

Speak softly to the Mom about it first.

Some kids don;t burn out on video games. He would probably just play all night and constantly be worthless in school.

A sledge hammer works well also and won't wake everyone up.

This is what God created the breaker switches for in your power box.
