Screen time is close.... How about encouraging parents not to use sweets, TV, and video games as a means to get the kids out of their hair, and instead do things with 'em? That'd solve 90% of the problem right there. Most parents I have seen, even the ones who have kids playing Little League and such, are so underinvolved it's sad. At the games they sit and watch TV on their Iphones instead of cheering their kids on.... Get off YOUR ### and the kids will get off theirs. Friggin' politicians. Can't blame the parents, might offend and lose a voter.... | |

| Do you have any problem with her being given $200K from one of McDonalds suppliers? Are you so completely myopic that you cannot see blatant hypocrisy? Shouldn't she set an example by making her husband quit smoking instead of telling me what to feed my kids? |

| Michelle big fat ass SEIU agenda!!! SEIU fatcats behind First Lady’s anti-obesity campaignby Michelle Malkin Behind every seemingly good deed in the Obama White House, there’s a deep-pocketed, left-wing special interest. Take First Lady Michelle Obama’s crusade against childhood obesity. Who really benefits from the ostensible push for improved nutrition in the schools? Think purple – as in the purple-shirted army of the Service Employees International Union. Big Labor bigwigs don’t care about slimming your kids’ waistlines. They care about beefing up their membership rolls and fattening their coffers. Michelle Malkin » SEIU fatcats behind First Lady’s anti-obesity campaign

And SEIU (the right arm of ACORN) stands to make BILLIONS, with a goal of not only healthy school lunches, but expanding it to healthy dinners and year round free feeding programs throughout the summer too. I'm sure when the Obama's get kicked out the White House, Michelle will have a well paying Board of Directors job with SEIU!!! And probably still work with McDonald's food suppliers on the down low. You can't have decades of taxpayer money fighting childhood obesity if you don't secretly feed them to keep the crises going and money flowing!!! ![]()

| The U. S. government's power to provide for the common defense is enough authority for Congress to legislate regarding obesity.

| This is bull poppy.. It is more than just healthy school lunches. It is getting the kids away from the television sets/videos games/computer games. She should also buy all the kids a bike and a safe place to ride it. Take all the losers of society and lock them up so the kids can ride the bikes without worrying about getting kidnapped or mugged for the bikes. It is more than just food with these kids. I know that growing up in the 80's we had 2 recesses that were a half hour each. This went on until junior high. We also had gym class twice a week. Now I think the kids have gym once a week if at all? And most of the time the kids can give excuses for not having to do gym class. |
