Wonder what Jill Wagner's gonna do.

WTH is left? FORD?? Uuummm.....no thanx. Just a personal preference. But again, at this rate; may not have much of a choice after the last shoe drops, huh?

All of them have turned European! I can hardly tell one car from any other today. Look what they did to the Chevy Nova. It's a Honda or Hyundai for the most part.
This is what "the love of money" does to people. It's all about money.
What ever happened to the "fight" and uniqueness in this country?!! Everything that is done is geared towards America losing it's identity. Our SAE system, our weights and measures, etc., are all going (gone) metric. Even my American Harley is made in China or Taiwang...

Yep just like what GM did with the GTO.

As far as FORD, I'd take a blue oval over the bowtie anytime nowadays. Not taking bailout/stimulus/tarp money went a long way with the American car buyer.

Spaking of outboards, I went to buy one the other day. $5,000 dollars for a 30 hp outboard. There arent $5,000 dollars worth of crabs left in St. Clements bay.

I heard on the news that Mercurys hardly sell at all anymore, and almost their entire line consists of Ford knock-offs - Ford cars with marginal differences.

It was created with the idea of being a transition from cheap Fords to more expensive Lincolns. Once it became indistinguishable from Ford, there was no reason to keep it.

They only have four vehicles - the Milan (which is the same as Fusion), the Mariner (Ford Escape), the Mountaineer (which is fairly close to the Explorer) and the Grand Marquis (which is a Crown Vic).

Really - if they went away, who would really notice?

There are those that would care. It's like the difference between GMC and Chevy. There are definitely differences in the trim, fit, and finish of a GMC Sierra that I prefer over the Chevy version, even tho the truck is very similar.

But as far as Ford is concerned, I read where they will but all their 'luxury' trim into the Lincoln line.
