Fritz claims vindication in Mattingly Trial

Attachment 76105Saint Mary's County States Attorney Richard Fritz in a press release on Tuesday July 27, 2010 has claimed his office has been vindicated in his quest to Persecute and Smear his Democratic opponent John A. Mattingly Jr.(found not guilty on all charges) in this years up coming election because Mattingly's partner was convicted of Conspiracy to falsely affix a notary seal to a document. Fritz's press release would lead the public to believe that this was a Major Felony Conviction when in fact it is a misdemeanor with a maximum penalty far less than stated in Fritz's press release (He likely will face probation before judgement because the Judge in the case knows that it was more a procedual error than a crime)Fritz can't make himself stop lying about his actions.
He also used the press release to continue slandering John Mattingly's good name by stating that it was Mattingly's responsibility as a member of the court to know everything his assosciates were doing.
He doesn't admit however that his lead investigator in the case agains Mattingly, Assistant States Attorney Daniel J White was found to have supressed evidence in the case, Tampered with Grand Jury witness's, Had the witness's in the trial change their original testimony, then coached the witness's on how to testify,and committed perjury to the Grand Jury, and The Court.
How does Fitz think he has been vindicated when he and his office have been proven to have acted acted shamefully, with no regard for the law they have sworn to uphold? All of this to win reelectionto a job he has done under a cloud of coruption for years. This man is unfit to be a lawyer much less a States Attorney!
How do you like being pulled out from under your rock and exposed to the light of day Richard Fritz!! Do you feel like the Captain of the Titanic yet?

I'm not a fan of any of the individuals you have mentioned above... it's a sad fact that there isn't a decent candidate out there for the GOOD people of St Mary's to elect into that office.

Neither deserve the position and it's likely our entire State's attorney office is going to be ineffective for the near future. Way to go!

You'd think we live in Hazzard County and the Duke boys are kicking up some dust.

Fritz must be doing something right. The people of the County keep voting him back in office time after time. And like it or not, he will be voted back as the S/A again. He is will liked by the "majority" of the County which feels he is doing a good job. I am not familar enough to know whether he is or isn't. I do know that I don't agree with the plea bargaining that is going on in our Courts. However, I do not blame that on Fritz or any other States Attorney. For example, that occurs in all Counties. Looks like judges have to take some responsibility to me.

I truley believe that the reason Kevin McDivitt never filed to run against him in the republican primary this year is he knew that Fritz was more likely than not going to use his power to try to unfairly harrass and slander him just as he has done to John Mattingly. The Judges in this county are as much to blame as fritz for our abysmal record on drug dealers but nobody in the system wants to stop collecting their "drug Tax's". Fritz will lose the election this year to a man who has a much higher degree of integrity, honesty, and fair mindedness.

There's a fine line between being a criminal and being sleazy. Mattingly walks that line. Integrity... I don't think so, Honesty... hmmm I'm sure there are plenty of folks who would say otherwise...

Be real, if he was so great he would have represented Terry Clarke. But he doesn't have any trial experience.

There's more to this whole story that isn't out yet... and I guarantee John Mattingly is doing his best to make sure it doesn't leak out.

At least with Fritz we know what we are getting... with Mattingly you better hope his skeletons stay in the closet.

What a joke! Themis only talks about what he/she wants the public to view while precisely leaving out very important fact that would change the whole outlook of MR. Mattingly.
1st Themis leaves out the fact that Mr Mattingly and Mr. Brown still have several indictments standing and currently have two more jury trials scheduled for Sept 2010 and Nov. 2010 which involve several felony charges that could place the both of them in prison for a long time. "Well Deserved"

2nd Mr. Mattingly and Mr. Brown also have several Cival trials that are rapidly approaching which coincidentally involve law abiding citizens that also claim Mr. Mattingly and Mr. Brown have unethically and unlawfully gained interest in their properties.

Lets talk only facts here!
I speak from actual experience with Mr. Mattingly!! Go to the Maryland Judiciary case search and search the both of these criminals and you will find a ton of factual based information. I'm talking about cases that are closed not pending. Both of these guys have a bunch of judgements against them one being there landlord of there business office of which they never paid rent.

This is public information take a glance and make your own decision. I bet if that was made public Mr. Mattingly would not receive a single vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How coincidental is it that Mr. Mattingly files for office of the States Attorney the day before his indictments. Again thats his only defense. Do you actually believe that all of these people/companies that are complaining of wrong doing by these two guys are incorrect!

You sure got me on that one. Mattingly's company did have ajudgement against them for rent because their business wasn't doing well.
Mattingly announced his intentions to run for the SA job years ago and there was an article documenting this after Friz's bungled the John Edison case so badly in Dec. 2009.
No One ever complained about mattinly's business until Asst States Attorney Danny White went to them and told them they had been done wrong, even going so far as to have so called victims change their original
testimony so that it would fit the trumped up charges he wanted to amke against Mattingly, he even tried to keep witness's original statements from the defense team, and was busted for this in open court. Even the Special Prosecuter sad that Danny White had acted inappropriatrly in this matter. The real defense in this case is that John Mattingly was aquitted at trial by a Jury because Fritz and White again bungled a case that was based on lies, and intimidation by Fritz and his Junior Gestapo Thugs. There are no civil matters pertaining to Mattingly active against Mattingly on the MD Judiciary Case file at this time. Other than the judgement earlier this year all of the other civil matter were between him and his former law partner that resolved without litigation. Mattingly will be aquitted of the charges still before him just as he has been so far.
The real Evil here is the way Fritz and his officers have so blatantly abused their power trying to defame Mattingly. Fritz couldn't just let someone run against him and let the voters decide who the best man for the job would be its in his nature to take the low road at every opportunity.
The day is coming that Fritz and his Henchman Daniel J. White will have to face justice for their actions. They have broken the US Constitution, Intimidated witness's, and White has lied and committed perjury.
When the day comes and a jury finds them guilty for reprehensible, illegal actions I will be sitting their applauding the misery they are suffering and have tried to heap on innocent people. Don't think that the MD Attorney Generals Office, and the Federal Justice Dept don't know whats been happening in little old St Mary's Co.
