whats the alternative...?? if you go out side and run him off.. you think he will stop being a criminal.. or that he will put out a memo to all crimminals to avoid your house.. not likley... and if you decide that you want to end some ones life.. i would assume that knowing the laws for the use of deadly force might be helpful.. i dont see how knowing that info could hurt you in anyway.. | |

And knowing the law is good. I was just curious about how you viewed the situation.

Figuring your house has not already been breached and you or your family harmed, that is.

| Voice from upstairs: "Hey! Uh, excuse me, uh, sir, but, well, if it's not too much trouble, would you mind closing the door when you leave so the cat doesn't get out? Also, I'd really appreciate it if you'd check to see if I left the lawn spigot on. Don't bother cleaning up. We'll get it after you're done. Oh, and, if it's not too much trouble, could you make sure the fridge door is closed all the way? There's leftover lasagna. It sticks a bit. The door, not the lasagna. Thanks and drive safe!" "Klick, klack" Sound of Larry loading double ought. Mother####er is NOT getting my lasagna.

| Getting back to the original question (the title), my vote is "yes" he did deserve it.

| I see no problem with a criminal being killed. look at it like preventative medicine. Killing him now saves someone later.

I can think a.current law is ignorant and still abide by it if I have to, but it's a shame if the time comes to protect my.family I may hesitate as I WILL be thinking of the possibility of repercussions. Sometimes it may not matter and knowing what you have to do to protect your family you'd be willing to face jail time. 10 years in jail is better than the alternative sometimes.
