The gay groups are trying to normalize aberrent behavior and anyone who doesn't accept it is called a "homophobe". Then there's the hypocrisy and double-standard: they can start all the gay clubs they want and they think that's not only perfectly fine, but a needed service. Yet when high school kids start a traditional values club, they're ripped apart by these very same groups. So let's talk about intolerance.

Gay groups are not trying to normalize aberrent behavior. And they aren't asking for special rights. Groups like PFLAG work to achieve equal civil rights for all people, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people.

People have a right to not like gays and not want to legitimize gay relationships. Just like you have the right to not like whoever you don't like. So you can sneer and say "homophobe" to the gal that wrote this article, but what that makes YOU is a "traditional-values-phobe". And the reason you sneer at traditional values is because it passes a judgement on the lifestyle YOU want to live, yet don't want to be judged on.

Actually, Vrai, for all intents and purposes, I have chosen to live a traditional life. I'm married. To a man.
