What happend to Dr George Mathews

Anyone know what happened to Dr George Mathews?

I just recently seen him for some back problems - he gave me some meds to help me out.

Tried to refill my script today and Now the pharmacy is telling me that they cannot fill a perscription from this Dr. Does anyone know why? His office phone just goes right to the answering machine.

Good Question. I tried calling today to confirm my upcoming appt and all i got was the answering machine stating to call during regular business hours. not even able to leave a message. i know it may be to far out of ability, but I think his office should have notified his patients, instead of all the rumors on this site(much less all the others).

I did call the office when the original posting took place (see link above) and was told the office was closed and Dr. Mathews was no longer practicing. I asked if there was another doctor accepting his patients and was told to contact my referring doctor.

Was arrested in the parking lot of Calvert Memorial Hospital a couple of weeks ago. The DEA has now taken over his Office, so it is best that you cantact your Primary Care Doctor, or as stated before...contact your refering Physician. Good luck, and make sure you do this BEFORE you run out of your Medications.

NOT A RUMOR..it is fact! He has been arrested, and Presumed INNOCENT until proven GUILTY..so let's keep this in mind. Until then..all of his Patients should contact their PCP's.

Is there a news atricle about this? Anybody have a link? I got to see the Dr once.. Guess it turns out he was crooked huh? You'd think he would make enough $$ just being a overpaid Dr...

So you think Doctors are overpaid? Why don't you perform that surgery yourself? Why don't you go through 10 years of medical school racking up hundreds of thousands in loan debts? Why don't you work 36 hour shifts as a resident? Why don't you pay 10's of thousands in malpractice insurance? Why don't you pay rent on an office and purchase all of the expensive equipment that is needed?

Can't you tell that he simply put the "R" in back of the "T"? It seems as though you check everybody's spelling, and Grammar on the posts..you got me for the same thing, when I put a letter in the wrong spot. You want to critisize people's spelling, maybe you should become a Teacher, that is IF you aren't one already!! Big deal if someone spells something wrong, or simply misplaces a FREAKIN letter!! Everyone got the gist of the article right? WOW..we now have the GRAMMAR/SPELLING POLICE on the Forums..everyone..get a Dictionary, or utilize your Spell Check! I know that I mispelled about two words on here, and will leave it up to Baja to tell me what it iz!!
