For everyone else, what do you suppose is the reasoning behind the bishop's request? Or is there one?
Simply put, respect for the person of Jesus Christ. Somehow, I don't see Jesus toting a gun, permit or not.

My point being that as a private institution ot is nobody's business except the parishioners and if they don't like it they can leave. Kind of like how you had argued bars should be allowed to allow or ban smoking in their own establishments because they are privately owned.

As for reason, radiant hit it on the head. It's just kind of contrary to the deity you are there to worship.

ACCORDING to the old testament and Jewish prophecy he was supposed to be a warrior, so if Jesus was the saviour you can bet your ASS he'd be armed.

HELL, he killed people out of spite, and was thr original anarchist and 99% of course he'd be toting.

If that's the case, then no doubt you'd be first on his hit list.

That is not the messiah that the Christians worship. The jesus of the new testament was a pasavist.

Then they really don't know who their Jesus is then.

The story of Jesus' childhood are in books written but left out of the current versions of the Bible.

If any books written are true, than all must be, to include those written that were left out of the modern day bible.

And of course even the modern Bible points out several stories where it paints him as an anarchist, a 99%. It's amazing so many conservatives are followers of the biggest liberal of all time.
