You may be surprised to learn that an area outside the lower 48 is has one of the highest median incomes in the country.

I lived there for several years as a child and I still have family there. We went back to visit one year and I asked my Mom why the candy bars cost twice as much as they did in SC. She tried to explain the cost of living to me and I understood to an extent. I got my candy bar and I was happy.

The DC and surrounding areas are expensive to live in. We all know that. The salaries bring people in and keep them here.

Why do you suppose Malibu, Beverly Hills, etc, don't register? That's where all the brazillionaires live. Am I to believe we have more wealth in Lex Pk than they do where the median home price is around $3 million?
