Google: Job search engine for Armed Forces

Link to original article.

"Our men (and women) in uniform would definitely be proud to know that the military is one of the most advanced in the world – not to mention boasting some of the deadliest weapons in their armory, but in this time of economic crisis, you never quite know when you might be out of a job

Well, fret not – Internet search giant Google has successfully developed a job search engine specifically for the US military, this coming about after teaming up with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

This particular customized job search engine is meant for returning military veterans who are registered or listed on the National Resource Directory (NRD) website

In a nutshell, veterans are able to make use of the website to look for more than 500,000 job openings around the country.

I guess this is definitely a good thing, as it provides a nice, soft landing as I read somewhere that the average person in the US takes 40.5 weeks or so to land a new job at the moment from a jobless state. "

A search engine to link vets to non-existent jobs. That's gonna be a hit..no doubt about it.
