I do the same thing, except in the summer when it softens up fairly quickly.

Without Butter there would be nothing for me to dip my Lobster Tail, Snow Crabs, or Shrimp in...

What, you don't want to dip them in butter flavor Crisco? I mean...margarine?

I thought this was a Last Tango in Paris thread.

And before you say it won't, take a serious look at our country.

So, my question is, can one freeze butter?

Hi Migtig - if you get a chance watch Colbert on the butter shortage. He talks about how we beat Norway again because we have so much butter in this country. At one point he eats a stick of butter like it's corn on the cob and butters his butter. It's a riot!

I don't know why butter gets a bad rap - it has less saturated fats , you can get it unsalted, and it's only 30 calories. Folks are brainwashed.

And I just bought two tubs of Smart Balance at BJ's. I'll have to rethink that when its time to buy butter again.

I have a jar sitting in my cabinet. I mainly use it for things that need to cook at a higher temp. Its no gouda on bread or stuff like that though.

Betty Botter bought some butter
But she said this butter's bitter.
If I put it in my batter,
my batter will be bitter,
But a bit of better butter will make my batter better.

So Betty Botter bought some butter.
Better than the bitter butter
She put it in her batter.
She put a bit of better butter into her batter
And it made her batter better.

True story.
