A 25-year-old former Prince Frederick man was one of four people killed in an early morning New Year’s Day shooting in Coronado, Calif., after he apparently took his own life.

Well thank gawd we found a local tie!

At least this one was "first generation," so to speak.

I used to get so sick of that in the San Diego and Smell-A media. The lengths they would go to establish some kind of a local tie was sometimes as extreme as it was morbid.

These are normal people, no different than anyone else. Their chosen profession has nothing to do with this tragedy.
