As soon as the people started moving in, they started complaining about the noise.. Dumbasses, you buy in a landing zone, expect some noise.
I grew up next to Magic Hollow in Carriage Hill. The jet noise got annoy at times but as a kid i loved it.

You do have a point and I really did need to qualify what I posted.

When the pilot live then the pilot(s) can talk back and explain the reasoning for the crash, so mostly it is just when the pilot dies THEN they get the blame.

In this case the two member crew lived so this time the F18 malfunctioning will likely stand.

With me on ignore you each get to be right every time, while I still get to tell everyone else the better points.

It is a win-win situation to put me on your ignore list.

OR, you could put most of us on YOUR ignore list and that would cut your return comments drastically.

You just had a moment of weakness, that's all. It's okay, we all have them -- we're human. Most of us still have the desire to "help" and "save" our fellow human beings, even when they may not deserve it.

You tried. Kudos for the effort.

I did not know the F-18 couldn't fly on one engine. Maybe the failure caused other problems? Like flying pieces cutting lines and wires?

I did not know about that either - of not flying on one engine, and that surely did cause other problems.

The F-18 has never been a safe bird as it is riddled with defects.

Link = Navy F-18 Hornet Crash Is Third This Year - ABC News

Link = HowStuffWorks Videos "Destroyed in Seconds: F-18 Carrier Crash"

And those are not telling the entire story about that deficient bird.

I do not have any ignore list, and have never had anyone on ignore ever.

To ignore another person is reprehensible, but for myself to do that would be lower than low.

The Navy is obviously not saying anything yet, but some of the eyewitnesses are saying they saw pieces coming of the aircraft before it went into a steep angle of bank and then pitched up...and it sounded like the engines were not running at that point. Perceptions are funny at a time like that, so who knows what they actually saw. Also, listening to many of the people providing information, it sounds like they might have just spent the day sneaking beer and wine from the Wal-Mart.
