Ok, since I have already been branded an idiot- what does a concussion caused by repeated banging into a concrete surface have to do with the perp being shot through the chest?

And my apologies, I did not realize I had to have a medical degree to state my opinion in a forum.

I am not saying Zimmerman wasn't injured; obviously he was. I just don't think the video really shows the injury- the picture does. I am curious why there isn't any dirt/gravel embedded in Zimmerman's head.

Got it. So Zimmerman's head wasn't being "repeatedly" banged into the sidewalk. It just happened once before he got the shot off.

Didn't say that. The evidence doesn't support that. What did happen is he responded before he was knocked unconscious.

In your telling it's not meaningful unless Zimmerman allows himself to be knocked unconscious, take whatever beating an enraged Martin does to an defenseless person under his weight, and then hope Zimmerman wakes up in time to begin physically defending himself. Kind of stupid thinking on you guys on the "Zimmerman-is-a-murderer" side, right?

Go back to my earlier description of his head injuries when the video from the police station was posted here. Now, go ask your husband-nurse what the medical term 'vertex' means. Then we'll talk about your ms-labeled pictures.

You don't have to experience unconsciousness to have a concussion. Sometimes it's just dizziness or headaches.



From the Mayo Clinic:
Signs and symptoms of a concussion may include:

Headache or a feeling of pressure in the head
Temporary loss of consciousness
Confusion or feeling as if in a fog
Amnesia surrounding the traumatic event
Dizziness or "seeing stars"
Ringing in the ears
Nausea or vomiting
Slurred speech
Fatigue



I don't know if Zimmerman is a murderer or not. I have simply been saying that the video was not enough evidence for me. Now that there are pictures, as I said above, it is obvious he was injured. It just doesn't answer all the questions for me. I am sorry if my opinion bothers you.

Let me help you understand what the vertex is (still trying to overcome your dextro-levo agnosia problem here). If you have long hair, tie it back in a pony tail or something so it's out of your way. Then get two large, stretchy rubber bands.

I need to run to the hospital for a couple hours so I'll be back. In the meantime, loop one floppy rubber band under your left ear and stretch it across the top of your head and loop it under your other ear.
