Gun Range Offers Birthday Parties For Children

Family-friendly gun range offering birthday parties for kids | wfaa.com Dallas - Fort Worth

Some 8-year-old kids might want a clown or a magician for their birthday party. The Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville, Texas is catering to a very different kind of kid.

The gun range now offers children as young as 8 the chance to celebrate their special day by pumping bullets out of cold, hard steel.

"The age limit is eight years old. You have to be tall enough to get above the shooting table,” Prince told WFAA. “They're not gonna be left unattended. Parents are gonna be one-on-one, or if there's not enough parents, we'll have range safety officers here to show them how to do it safely."

We were shooting BB guns by 8. Even though I do not own a gun, understanding guns and gun safety at an early age is a good thing. Funny I would actually rather see a kid learning to use a gun at 8 then be on an ATV.

Excellent! The younger you get them instructed in the safe handling of weapons and taking the mystique out of guns will reduce the chances of a negligent mishap happening when they are older. As soon as my boy is old enough to understand the four rules of firearm handling, he will be allowed to shoot his first rifle. I'm hoping between 3 and 4 years old.

Teach them as young as you can. Learning gun safety at 4 or 5 years old.

That actually sounds like a total blast for kids! a good lesson, valuable skills, and of course its such a boy thing to walk around pretending to shoot stuff. I can imagine the obnoxious helicopter mommies when you send out the invitation

too bad they don't do that around here..can you imagine a gun range princess party? I would absolutely do that for my monster.
